                        The Charming

               Tithonus

In the story of The Stars Will Shine, Tithonus is a mortal, with Eos being a goddess, and although Eos goes to Zeus and grants eternal life, she forgets to grant eternal youth. Tithonus was a lover of Eos for many years.  Together, Tithonus and Eos had two children named Memnon and Emathion.  While they stayed together for a few years, Tithonus grew old and weak, and eventually turned into a grasshopper.  When he had changed so rapidly, Eos put him in a basket in a corner so that he couldn't be seen. Tithonus was the handsome prince of Troy, and was spotted down on earth by the goddess of dawn Eos.  He was born a trojan, and was the son of King Laemedon.  Troy was a legendary city located northwest of Anatolia, where he lived most of his life, although, eventually  Tithonus was kidnapped by Eos from the loyal house of Troy.
